I am going to talk a little about the dark side of window tinting and below is a post from someone who does not think it is a good idea and would never put window tint film on their ride.
Why do we get window tinting, there is only one advantage and many disadvantages. Having our windows shaded helps to keep the sun out on those hot steamy days of summer. As we look around these days more and more people are doing it, primarily the younger drivers under age 25.
Their reasoning, it looks kool. My personal opinion is it can be unsafe for both the driver and pedestrians. I think it’s important for pedestrians to be able to see inside the vehicle for a number of reasons. However, I still keep window tint on all of my cars as I think the risk outweighs the costs.
First, what if a driver with window tinting isn’t paying attention while driving through a school zone whether it’s the off hours or not the pedestrian would only be able to gain the drivers attention by screaming aloud if they had to, or you have your car’s windows shaded and you’re being car jacked, onlookers might not be able to help because they have no idea what’s going on.
Depending on the state where one lives their are regulations pertaining to the levels of window tints. That being the case, I think it’s a great regulation for the protection of all parties concerned. Having these regulations provide some cities a source of revenue in the form of ticket writing.
Also they provide police officers easy access to those types of vehicles which can be a good thing because we don’t know who’s behind the wheel of the vehicle, it could be a child who has gotten hold of the keys and wants to experience the joy of driving and believe me it’s not the first time this example has happened. This could be a reason now to get a window tinting kit for your truck or car.
I’m kinda in the middle about my opinion on this issue and I have given some of my reasoning for my feelings. Though I have expressed my personal opinions about shaded windows it’s just one persons views and I do not expect everyone to agree with my viewpoint, but I also believe it’s a topic that needs to be discussed more in open forums.
