When most people think of tinting their windows, they automatically think about their cars.  Well this is not always the case as many people want their homes or offices to keep cooler. To do this, many people have their home windows tinted in order to save on cooling and heating costs. This is normally quite a bit cheaper than adding air conditioning and many people can do it themselves.

Most would not think of this but if you live in a hot house or have an office without AC, then using tint at home will really be a quick option to stay cool. The goal is to choose the proper company to do the job for you if you do not want to try it by yourself.  A few tiny bubbles or crinkles in your home would not look good, so I call the local glass company that also does commercial office and home window tinting.

The goal is to keep it cooler as the window tint shades the sun and reflects the light back out from the house.  If you have many trees you will notice it being cooler, since the heat cannot get to the house. Shading the windows does the same thing and I was shocked about how much cooler it felt.  Also, the heat stays in the house better in the winter with the tint on the windows too. It shades in the summer and keeps the heat in during the cold months. What a great concept.

Ask your friends for a good reference and then call around to see if you can find the best price. Do not always go for the cheapest since they may not tint your windows the best or may use a low quality film to do the job. It will save you more money in the long run. Trust me.
