The first thing I have to say about spray window tint is to be very careful where you use it and how you use it.  Most times this stuff is best used to blackout headlights and taillights, but it also can be used as a way to tint windows cheaply too.

Most times you can get a few cans of spray tint and do a decent looking job on your windows, but I would only use it on a beater car or truck you do not really need.  The spray tint is great on your tail lights when used to black them out, and that is where I find it to be most useful. These really look cool with some chrome rims and low profile tires to match it all up and have a sweet looking ride to show off around town.

Most sprays are a black type of mist and you need to be sure to apply more than one coat so that it does not want to run and ruin the look. Patience is the key here, as with any job, so spray a bit then take a 10 minute break and detail the car or clean the wheels.

Many times people think saving a few bucks and being cheap will be best in the long run. Well, I have mixed views on that as I have done some good jobs before, but many times I wish I would have just paid someone to do it for me.

All in all, you have to be the one to find out if DIY tint is for you or not. I think everyone should try it and you might have the skill and time to do it right. Just do not be surprised if you decide to take it to a pro later. No matter what it is always fun to work on our cars and with friends around too.
